Time Announcement

Configure file-based spoken time announcements, validate the matching audio files, and place a dynamic marker in a generated broadcast log.

Before you begin

Keep the time-announcement audio in one dedicated folder. TeoCast supports common HHMM file names such as 0119, 1230, or 2330, as well as hour-and-minute announcement file sets. Use complete, matching files for the times you plan to announce.

Important: A Time Announcement is a virtual queue event, not a normal music track. TeoCast resolves the correct spoken time when the marker is played.

Set up the announcement files

  2. Enable the featureTurn on Enable file-based time announcement.

  3. Set the positionPlace the marker at the intended broadcast time, review the timeline, then generate or save the final log.
  4. Preview safelyUse the Preview option when available; preview audio follows the configured Preview / Cue output.
If TeoCast reports no matching files: return to Control Panel → Time Announcement, confirm the selected folder, then run validation again. Check the file names and make sure the required time set is complete.
