SQL Server ExpressOffline installers & installation guides (64-bit)
Choose one version for your TeoCast Main computer. Each version has its own illustrated PDF guide, including custom instance setup. Separate Workstation computers connect to Main and do not need their own SQL Server engine.
Already have SQL Server installed? You can use an existing suitable instance; you do not need both versions. Main and all Workstations must use the same server/instance and database to share their library and records.
Choose your own instance name
- In SQL Server Setup, select Named instance. Use
TeoCast,SQLEXPRESS, or another available name. - In TeoCast Main’s initial setup, enter that same name under SQL instance name. Use the advanced option only when entering a full server address.
- Choose Create Fresh Station for a new, empty station, or Connect and Save for an existing TeoCast database. Follow your version’s PDF for the correct account and password.
Before you install
Use a supported 64-bit Windows computer. Allow at least 6 GB free on the system drive, plus space for the download, station database, and media. Check the requirements in your version’s guide first.
Download once and transfer by USB for offline installation after installing the prerequisites. These are base setup packages; SQL Server updates are separate. Each PDF explains Mixed Mode, SQL administrator access, and TeoCast’s database account.
