Learn how to open the built-in TeoCast Audio Processor, compare Active and Bypass modes, select a suitable preset and make careful adjustments without introducing distortion or excessive loudness.

Understand the Audio Processor

The TeoCast Audio Processor is designed to help maintain a more controlled and consistent broadcast sound across music, voice tracks, station IDs and other on-air content.

Level consistency

Helps reduce large differences between quiet and loud audio sources.

Dynamic control

Uses gain control, compression and limiting to manage the output more smoothly.

Sound shaping

Available tuning controls can be used to refine the overall character of the station sound.

Output protection

Limiting helps reduce excessive peaks before audio reaches the final output.

Important: Processing improves consistency, but it cannot repair damaged, clipped or very poor-quality source audio.

Before enabling processing

Check the main playback and monitoring setup before adjusting the processor.

  • Confirm that the correct main output device is selected
  • Use several representative songs and station elements for testing
  • Start with reasonable playback and output levels
  • Keep the streaming encoder disconnected during major tuning changes
  • Use good headphones or studio monitors when comparing settings
  • Save a known working preset before making advanced adjustments
Avoid testing aggressive processor settings while live on air. Make important changes during a supervised test period.

Open the Audio Processor

The processor can be opened from the TeoCast main interface.

Start normal music playback

Load a known track so you can hear and observe the effect of the processor.

Open Audio Processor

Use the Audio Processor control in the main TeoCast window.

Wait for the panel to finish loading

Allow the processor controls and meters to appear before changing any setting.

Check the current mode

Confirm whether the processor is Active or in Bypass before beginning the comparison.

Compare Active and Bypass modes

Use the mode control to compare processed audio with the original unprocessed signal.

Active

The selected processor settings are applied to the audio path.

Bypass

Processing is temporarily bypassed so the original sound can be heard for comparison.

Listen in Bypass

Note the original volume, dynamics and tonal balance.

Switch to Active

Listen for improved consistency without harshness, pumping or obvious distortion.

Match the comparison level

Do not judge only by loudness. A slightly louder signal can appear better even when the processing is not well balanced.

Repeat with different content

Test music, voice, commercials and station IDs before accepting the final setup.

Understand the main processing sections

The exact controls available can depend on the selected preset and TeoCast edition.

Automatic Gain Control

Helps bring quiet and loud source material toward a more consistent operating level.

Compression

Reduces excessive dynamic range and helps keep important audio elements more controlled.

Limiter

Controls final peaks and helps prevent the processed output from exceeding the intended ceiling.

Output level

Sets the final processor output. It should provide healthy level without constant peak overload.

Tonal controls

Where available, these controls can refine low, mid and high frequency balance.

Meters

Use the visible level and activity meters to observe input, processing and final output behavior.

Start with a processor preset

A preset provides a controlled starting point and is safer than changing every advanced control immediately.

Choose a preset that matches the intended station sound and content style.

Test several audio types

Listen to quiet music, loud music, voice tracks and station elements.

Compare with Bypass

Confirm that the preset improves consistency without destroying natural dynamics.

Save the working setup

Keep a clearly named preset or saved configuration before attempting further tuning.

Demo Mode allows the processor to be opened and compared in Active and Bypass modes, while some preset and advanced tuning controls may remain limited.

Fine-tune safely

Make small changes and test each adjustment across more than one audio source.

  • Change only one or two controls at a time
  • Use small adjustments instead of extreme values
  • Watch the output meter for frequent peak overload
  • Listen for pumping, breathing, harshness and loss of detail
  • Check speech clarity as well as music loudness
  • Test the final setup through the actual stream before launch
More processing is not always better. Excessive gain, compression or limiting can make the station sound tiring and distorted.

Common Audio Processor problems

Use these checks when the processed sound is not behaving as expected.

No audible difference

Confirm that the processor is Active, then compare again using a track with clear level changes.

Output sounds distorted

Reduce input or output gain and use less aggressive compression or limiting.

Music pumps or breathes

Reduce the amount of gain control or compression and test with several songs.

Voice is unclear

Review tonal balance and avoid settings that make music loud at the expense of speech clarity.

Output is too quiet

Check the main playback level, processor output level and final software output meter.

Settings are unavailable

Confirm the current TeoCast mode or edition. Demo Mode may keep some advanced controls read-only or locked.
